Political Engagement

Sovereign does not make political donations and does not lobby governments or elected officials.

If this changes, we will:

• engage only on issues tied to our purpose, such as access to contraception, the rights of Indigenous knowledge-holders, and access-and-benefit-sharing law;
• take positions consistent with the commitments on our Purpose page;
• disclose publicly each year any lobbying we do, any registrations required by law, and any trade or industry associations we fund;
• never make contributions to political parties or candidates.

The director is responsible for this policy and reviews it every year.
